HARRIERS.
PACIFIC AND A,A. CLUB. The annual meeting.,of the Pacific Harrier and Amateur Athletic Club waa held in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms on Monday night. hr J. A. Bond (president) was in the chair, and there wae a large attendance of members. In moving the adoption of the annual report and. balance sheet, the Chairman referred to the satisfactory state of the finances. He congratulated Mr C. H, M'Lean on having attended every run during the past three years, and thanked the many friends of tho club who had donated prizes or entertained the members. It was worthy of note that Mr W. H. B. Hobbs had won the club's Challenge Cup for the second year. Mr C. Clark seconded the motion, which was carried with >!cclamation. Officers for the ensuing season were elected os follow:—Patron, Mr T. K. Sidey, M.i .; president, Mr J. A. Bond; vice-presidents— Meisstu J. Horn, M.P., S. Plank, E. Maxwell, A. M'Laciilan, F. Perkins, P. Torne, H. Clark, C. W. Clark, F. C. Austin, A. Hobbs, D. It. Thompson, F. W. Martin, and P. D. Gibson; captain, Mr C. H. M'Lean; deputy-cap tain, Mr J. Grey; secretary, Mr W. H. B. Hobbs; assistant secretary, Mr A. Hobbs; treasurer, Mr A. E. Grey; committee—Messrs E. Jolly, W. Pinlcy, S. ‘Wilson, 3. Gibson, and J. Crawford; delegates to Otago (Centre of the N.Z.A.A.A., Messrs W. Pimley and F. D. Gibson; auditor, Mr rl. W. R. Outran!; Handicapping Commitlee — Messrs A. E, Grey, R. J. Walker, and C. H. M'Lean ; • Advisory Committee—Messrs W. Pimicy, C. H. M'Lean, W, J, Walker, A. E, Grey, and W. H. Hobbs. A special Social Committee consisting of Messrs F. Gibson, C. H. M'Lean, ft. d. Walker, S. Wilson, and W. H. Hobbs was appointed to consider the question of providing a room and arranging for entertainments. The first concert to take place on April 12. The matter of sccurir." uniform jerseys for the active members of the club was referred to the incoming committee. Twelve active and two honorary members were elected, and one resignation was accepted. A letter was received from the secretary of the Otago Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association stating that an effort was being made to reform the Dunedin Amateur Athletic Club, and asking for tho chib’s support. He also requested that tho outstanding fees for registration should be forwarded. The official opening of the harrier season had been fixed for April 5.
