PICNICS.
The Dunedin builders held their annual picnic at the Wingatui Racecourse on Saturday. Children’s slices formed a large proportion of the entertainment, and "chopping off the Turk's head ” caused considerable amusement. During the afternoon some of tho young people indulged in dancing in tho lea kiosk. Altogether a very - happy- time was spent. The results of the adults’ events were aft follows: Youn? Levido 3. The first combined picnic of No 1 and No. 2 Districts of the United Ancient Order of Druids was held on Saturday afternoon at the Woodhaugh Cardans. There was an attendance of about 500 people. The committee, under the guidance of District President G. WRson (chairman) and District President G. Thompson (secretary), worked hard to make the function a success.
