RIFLE SHOOTING.
CARSON CDP COMPETITION. In the first match of the third competition for the Caraon Cup, the Kaitangata Rifle Club members had to contend with a dull, windy afternoon last Saturday. The early competitors got a fair run, and shot well. Rifleman W. Oliver being top score, followed closely by President W. B. Reekie and Rifleman J. .Barclay, With only two more shoots in the competition and a final shoot, the scores of the leaders are very close, and it is hard to pick the winner Tne following aro tho scores for the day: 300 300 i . , _ , yds- yds.
