NAVAL SURVEY SHIP
NEW VESSEL FOR AUSTRALIA. LONDON, January 9. After being fitted out as a surveying ' ' vessel at a cost of £70,875, to replace - the Fantome, in Australia, the Herald left Devonport for her preliminary commissioning trials. She is due at Gibraltar on January 12, Port Said on January 31, Aden on February 15, Colombo on February 28, Singapore on March 15, Surabaya v ■jn March 23, Thursday Island on April 5, and Sydney on April 16.
