MINING.

ELECTROLYTIC ZINC. The Electrolytic Zinc Company of Australasia, during the fonr weeks ended November 14, 1923, produced 3450 tone of zme, 525 tons of silver lead product for shipment to Port Pirie, and 72,5000 zof silver. Eor the four weeks ended December 12, 1933, 3470 tons of zinc, 525 tons of silver lead product, and 75,0000 z of silver were produced. WAIHI RETURNS. (Per United Press Association.) WAIHI, January 11. The Waihi Gold Mining Company, for tno past four-weekly period, crushed and treated 15,646 tons of ore for a return of 5549 fine ounces of gold and 35,454 fine ounces ot silver, approximately worth rather over £30,000. This is the final return for 1933. The year’s operations have proved eminently satisfactory as regards development of ore, reserves, and profits.
