DOMINION LIME AND PHOSPHATE COMPANY.

The Dominion Lime and Phosphate Company,*=thc management of which is in Gore, was formed about 21 or 22 years ago. The capital was originally £IO,OOO, but later on it was increased to £20,000, at which figure it stands at present. The company holds an area of 39 acres, situated between two blocks belonging to the Milburu Lime and Cement Company. The limestone is of good quality’, but the phosphate deposits, like those of the Ewing Phosphate Company, arc not of great value at present owing to the importation of the commodity from Naum.
