AQUATICS.

PORT CHALMERS REGATTA

The Port Chalmers Regatta Committee met on Thursday evening, Mr J. Watson in the chair. Mr G. P. Lindsay wrote accepting the position of handicapper for motor boats, and Mr J. James that of judge for rowing races. Tho O.R.A. approved the appointment of three extra judges, and the association recommended Mr E. V. Fairbairn as starter and umpire for rowing. The chairman said the committee was indebted to these gentlemen for agreeing (o assist at the regatta. A largo amount of routine business was put through. Tho prospects of a successful regatta were said to be very promising, and every endeavour would be made to cater for the convenience of spectators.
