A CONSTABLE ARRESTED.

THEFT OF MONEY ALLEGED. (Psn United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, November 14. Police-constable Andrew MMennett waa arrested yesterday on a charge of the theft of £26, moneys of the Arms Office. The allegation is that the moneys were misappropriated over a period from January 15 to November 13 this year. Part of the constable’s duty was to receive applications in regard to registered firearms, issue licenses, and collect fees. He was remanded for a week, bail being allowed in the sum of £IOO.
