SEVERE EARTHQUAKE

TREMORS RECORDED IN SYDNEY. Ppm* Association—By Telegraph—CopyrljM SYDNEY, November 5. (Received Nov. 5, at 9.10 p.m.) A violent earthquake was registered on the seismograph at River view. It was of larger magnitude than the recent Japanese ea rthquake. The seismic records show that the earth shocks were so violent that they caused the instruments to "wing to the fullest limit. The first -waves strived at 7.14 on Saturday morning and reached their maximum at ’7.23. Smaller tremors were recorded on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
