WRIT OF ATTACHMENT ISSUED. - ' LONDON, October 22. There ha* been an ignominious development in connection with the projected world tour of the British trade ship. The vessel is lying at Hall with a writ attached to its mast, bearing the names of Captain Dye and - the engineer, Mr Johnson, as plaintiffs. A cable published on July 21 stated that the steamer Orontes was being fitted out to tour the Empire as a floating exhibition, of British manufactures. An interruption, in the work had 1 occurred, which the promoters of the scheme explained was due to the failure of a financier to fulfil his guarantee of £40,000.
