As a reminder to Mr Asquith that ha should have included a visit to the university in his programme during his visit to Liverpool, a party of students surrounded his motor car as he left nil host’s residence this morning and insisted on the chauffeur driving to the university, where large crowds of students of both sexes vociferously cheered the captive. Mr Asquith accepted the situation good humouredly and entered the hall and'-delivered a brief speech, which was received enthusiastically. He was then allowed to attend a luncheon at the Reform Club.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
