Captain Foster, who was skipper of the Trevessa. was the recipient in the Liverpool Town Hall of a silver salver, the gift of the Imperial Merchant Guild; also an aneroid barometer from the shipwrecked Mariners’ Benevolent Society. The Lord Mayor, in making the presentation' in the presence of a large gathering of shipmasters and officers and their wives, paid a tribute to the marvellous pluck', skilful navigation, and discipline which brought the Trevessa’s crew through.—Reuter.
