Sporadic forest fires, vvhicn have continued from last week, assumed alarming proportions at La Ciotat, and have defied the efforts made to quell them. Fire is approaching Mont Canaille, threatening the Cassis Woods. Over 100 hectares of forest have already been . destroyed.— Reuter.
