(Received Aug. 29, at 7.45 p.m.) Messrs Farmer’s (Ltd.), a Sydney retail firm, announces the first wifeless broadcasting service, the features of which will be a high-class musical entertainment fay the principal theatrical promoters, a summary of the news from the Herald and Evening News each day, and also reports advising Settlers outback of the fluctua tions in the markets and the Stock’ Exchange. The effective range of the station will be 400 to 500 miles from Sydney. A number of rural dwellers are seeking receiving sets to? listening-in.
