CAMPAIGN IN MOROCCO

RIFFS ATTACK SPANISH POSITIONS. CABINET MEETING IN MADRID. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, August 29. (Received Aug. 29, at 8.50 p.m.) Tangier reports state that the Riffs are strongly attacking the Spanish positions between, Tetuan and Sheshuan. The Marquis de Alhucemas (the Prime Minister) has left San Sebastian for Madrid, where a Cabinet meeting to-day is expected to result in the most important decisions. The Spanish Minister of War has issued a curious order declaring that the soldiers who are sent to Morocco to replace casualties must travel in groups of 20, commanded by an officer and without arms and ammunition, which will be issued when the soldiers reach their barracks in Morocco.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
