CHARGE OF PERJURY.

A DROVER CONVICTED. (Peb 'United Press Association.) NAPIER, August 28. In the Supreme Court to-day, before the Chief Justice, Sir Robert Stout, Alexander Lawrence (drover) was found guilty of perjury at bankruptcy proceedings in that on oath, knowing it to bo false, he made a statement that he had no horses and dogs, whereas the evidence for the Crown showed that he owned two horses and three dogs. Sentence was deferred.
