SCOTTISH PARADES
Air John Ogg has agreed to head the parades of some 170 pipers and dancers which are being held next Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons along Dunedin main streets, in connection with the annual competitions of the Piping and Dancing Association. This reappearance of the veteran John Ogg at the head of the ’'Scottish Brigade” will remind local residents of the older school of the notable processions to the sports grounds at New Year time, in the palmy days of the Otago Coledoniah Society 20 years ago. As a doggerel of the day had it:— “ Whaur ye gatin’ New Year’s Day, Bonnie laddie, .Highland laddie? To see John Ogg and Piper Gray, At the Dale. At the Calc.”
