HIBERNIANS

ST. JOSEPH’S AND ST. PATRICK’S BRANCHES. The fortnightly meeting of the St. Joseph’s branch was hold' in St. Joseph's nail, Rattray street, on Tuesday. The president (Bro. J. J. Marlow, jun.) presided over a largo attendance of members. Sick and other accounts wore passed for payment, and routine business was put through in good time. Bro. D. M‘Bride, delegate to the Friendly Society Council, reported as to the progress of that meeting, after which a vote., of thanks was accorded the brother for llis report. The branch decided to hold a euchre tournament on .lime 19 in St. Joseph’s Hall. This closed (he business of the meeting, and all present spent a social hour, several members contributing items, after which the .president closed the meeting. The St. Patrick’s branch held its fortnightly meeting in the schoolroom on Wednesday. the president (Bro. E. MTlroy), presiding over a large attendance of members. Sick pay and other accounts wore passed for payment, and other routine business was disposed of. The branch decided to hold, a euchre tournament in the schoolroom on June 11. After the business .was disposed of, all members took part in a ouostion tournament, the prize-winner being Bro. F. Mullin. V.P. ■
