COMMUNIST PLOT IN TURKEY.
THE LEADERS ARRESTED,
CONSTANTINOPLE. April 30. Thirty arrests were made, including several Russians, of persons implicated m a Labour Day plot to depose the Turkish Government and substitute Soviet rqle. The movement was engineered by Russian Communists. —A. and N.Z. Cable. N.S.W. COAL DISPUTE. SYDNEY, April 30. The executive of the Coal Miners’ Federation met and considered the coal dispute. The decision arrived at was not made public. It will be telegraphed to the various lodges, which will assemble on Tuesday for the May Day celebrations.
OWNERS’ TERMS REJECTED.
A DEADLOCK REACHED
SYDNEY, May 1. (Received May 1, at 9.30 p.m.) The Miners’ Federation has announced that the owners’ terms are not acceptable, and that the men are determined to fightThe owners' state that they will not. back down and will close the mines indefinitely. The whole State will probably be affected.
