ST. JOSEPH’S CATHEDRAL
Tile observance of Holy Meek al St. Joseph's Cathedral was commenced on Wednesday (welling with the solemn office of Tcnehrae, in which a number of the clergy and the students of Floly Cross College, INloHgiol, participated. Tho ccrcmonio.s wore continued on Thursday morning, followed by Tcnehrae in the evening. "Ihe solemnities of Good F’riday were commenced at 9 a.m., and in the afternoon the touching devotion of the "St-atiiUis of the Cross was attended, as customarily, by thronged congregations. T here was a very largo attendance again in the evening at Tenehrae. The preacher on Thursday evening was Rev. F'alher Andersen, on Good Friday Morning Rev. Father MT.anghlin. and on flood Friday evening Rev. Dr Buxton, all of whom arc attached to the professorial staff of the college at Mosgiel. The masses are to commence on Easter Sunday at 6.30 a.rn., and in the evening, besides the usual devotions, the Cathedral choir will give a recital of sacred music, commencing at 7
