ASTRONOMICAL NOTES FOR APRIL.

THE SUN'. The Sun will be in R.A. from 0.39.29 to 2.26.54-, in North declination from 4.15.10 to 14.32.22, and in longitude from 10.44.28 to 39.7.8. THE MOON. The phases of the moon will be as follow: — Full moon 2nd 0.40 a.m. Dust quarter Bth 4.52 p.m. New moon 16th 5.58 p.m. First quarter ... 24th 4.50 p.m. Perigee ... ... ... 2nd 8.54 a.m Apogee ... ••. 16th 10.42 a.m. Perigee 30th 7.54 p.m. THE PLANETS. Mercury will be in R.A. from 0.15.2 t<t 3.44.56 and in declination Irom 0.17.33 south to 22.21 58 north. It will be in superior conj notion to the sun on the Bth, and m conjunction with the moon on the 16th. It will be in perihelion on the 18th and at its greatest hel. lat. north on the 28th, Venus will bo in R.A. from 22 10.16 to 0.19.47, and in declination from 11.46.29 south to 0.22.47 north. It will be in conjunction with the moon on the 12th and in apelion on the 28th. Mars will Ire in R.A. from 3.9.23 to 4.31.54. and in north declination • from 18.16.19 to 22.42.16. It will he in conjunction with the moon on the 18th. Jupiter will he in R.A. irom 15.3.3 to 14.50.39 and in south declination from 15.53.41 to 14.59.11. It will Ire in, cons junction with the moon on the 3rd and on the 30th. Saturn will be in R.A. from 13.7.50 to 12.59.49 a fid in south declination from 4.13.45 to 3.25.1. It wiil be in ocnjuction with the moon on the Ist and on the 28th, and in opposition to the sun on the 7th.
