KinloclrGooke, the .First Lord of the Admiralty (Mr Am cry) said that after the Defence Council of Australia had recommended an interchange of warships between the Imperial fleets, the Admiralty expressed its willingness to co-operate in such an interchange. The first Lord added that, generally speaking, the Australian and Royal Navies preserved their own individualities. Their relations in peace and war were set out in a. command paper.—A. and N.Z.
