PENNY INCOME TAX
RECEIPTS IN BRITAIN. Prasa Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, March 3. (Received March 4, at 5.5 p.m.) la the course of a statement m thai House of Commons, Mr Stanley Baldwin, Chancellor of the Exchequer, said that the penny income tax in 1920-21 produced £4,900,000, in 1921-22 it produced £4,750,000, and in 1922-23 it produced £4,450,000. The number of persons in Great Britain with incomes above the exemption limit totalled 4,750,000.—A. and N.Z Cable.
