Court Pride of the Leith met at Albany Street Hall on Wednesday evening, when there was a large gathering of the members under the charge of the O.R. Bro. H. Coster. Now that the holiday season is over, the members are again showing considerable energy and enthusiasm, and the meeting wont with a fine swing. The senior auditor, P.C.IL Bro. .1. Benfell, read the last, half-yearly and the. yearly balance sheets, and gave the auditors’ report, ihe statements showed that the court has made ereat financial nrocross during 1922. and has also admitted KX) new members. After purging the roll a net gain, of 90 is recorded, and it is expected that this figure will be greatly increased for the current venr. A feature of the evening was n very interesting talk given byP.C.R. Bro. J. s\. M’lntyre. a veteran member of 75 years, of his walk in and round about the head of lake Wnkatipu during the holidays, extending for some eight davs. on a botanical excursion. Brother H. Gregory also gave big experience of his second Christmas in New Zealand. _ Before closing one nomination was received.
