--In 1856 someone wrote r letter in Demarara, and posted it with a fragile inch of magenta, paper which served as a postage stamp, value 1 cent (one halfpenny). Sixty-six years later that stamp, long since divorced from its envelope, created a sensation by realising £7340 at a public auction. It is the only known copy of the 1 cent British Guiana stamp of 1856. Like many other rare and almost priceless things, it is now in America. Nothing equals "NAZOL” for putting colds and Hay Fever to rout Inhale or take it on sugar. Ist 6d.—Advt.
