There appears to nothing new in connection with the political situation. The only certainty is that if Mr Massey cannot carry on the government no other member of the House can. It is either Mr Massey or another general election. The Reform Party will meet here on Thursday next. Mr .Wilford’s party is also to meet in Wellington. The Hon. G. J. Anderson is leaving to-night on a brief visit to the south. ‘Other Ministers are now returning to Wellington, and nearly all or them should be here by the beginning of next week.
