SAVOY DANCE

To celebrate the opening of (heir now Tudor dining hall, the management of the fcavoy restaurant gave a public dinner and dance last night. The Savoy extensions, which necessitated the partial remodel ling of the existing suite, are not yet completed, as the new entrance, from Princes street shows, hut the dining rooms and auxiliary apartments are finished, and it can lie said without exaggeration that one would have to travel far to find anything hotter, iiio new nail, as its name iiKWcaics, is Jurnislicd in period style, and is replete with all the soft elegance and luxurious comfort that the arts ot furnisher and decorator can provide. With the dimmed electric chandeliers and the soft music of the orchestra last night, while the dance was in progress, it made a very charming picture, and, along with the adjoining Clarence lounge, which is equal in taste and effect to the hall itself, it forms a suite, with which the originator should feel welj satisfied. The dance last night was the first of others to come in the future, and in the meantime the hall is in daily use for patrons of the Savoy.
