f OTAGO CENTRE, N.Z.A.A.A. The monthly meeting of the Otago Centre, Now Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, was held last night, Mr E. L. Macassey occupying the chair. Before com xnoncing the usual business, the Chairman presented the medals won at the .sports meeting held on November 4. . . The New Zealand Council wrote advising that it had decided to assume of all amateur cycling events in the dominion, and asking the centre’s intentions as regards the guarantee in connection with the American tour. —It was decided to send forward a list of the Otago guarantors, and to ask for an explanation of the conditions under which the guarantees were made. ‘ The Secretary of the newly-formed laien Amateur Athletic Club wrote applying for affiliation to the centre and for permission to hold a sports meeting on March 1, 1925. Received. The applications were hold over until a copy of the club’s programme had been submitted. The Pacific Harrier Club advised that Mr H. Clark had been appointed one of its delegates in place of Mr M. S. Hill. Heceivecl. J. White (Alexandra) wrote seeking information to assist in the formation of an amateur club there. —A reply supplying the necessary information has been forwarded by the secretary. ’ The Caledonian Society of Otago wrote asking for cermission to include amateur events in the programme for its annual sports meeting.—Granted. / ~,,, Messrs: O. W. Clarke, B. R. MTCcrnon, F. J. D. Rolfo, R. Thompson, T. Luckhurst, J. Richardson, H. J. C. M'Kenzie, J. Reynolds, and W. J. Bennett were ar>* pointed a sub-committee, with power to add to its number, to go into the matter of the Now Zealand and Otago championships.
