A BATHING FATALITY. (Pee United Press Association.) WANGANUI, November 25. A young married man named Porciyal Thompson, who resided at Loner Acre, was drowned in the Wanganui River white swimming on Saturday morning. The body ha-s not been recovered. , WAIROA, November 25. Thomas O’Reilly, a married man with a largo family, while working in a quarry, was caught "by a fall of earth, and sustained injuries which necessitated his removal to the hospital, where he had a leg amputated. CHILD'S TRAGIC DEATH. AUCKLAND. November 26. A child, five months old, died yesterday afternoon in peculiar circumstances. It was placed in a perambulator in the shade, and about an hour later was found dead by the mother. The child had vomited milk, which entered the trachea, causing suffocation.
