WEATHER SUMMARY
The weather during the past month compared more than favourably with that of the same month of the past four years, with tfio exception ol' September, 1921, when vain fell on 11 days, a total of I.o2sin—a fairly dry month. Last, month vain fell on 14 days, the total fall recorded being 1.170 in, or .530 in less than the monthly fall for August, 1922, when there were 16 wot days. The heaviest fall recorded was on September 20, when ,250 in fell. ,140 in being recorded for September 27, but on the other showery days during the month the fall was light. In" September, 1920, rain fell on 17 days, I lie total for the month being 3.6Boin—a very wot period. There wore two. very wet /ays >n September, 1920 —1.140 in being registered on the 28th and 1.020 in on the 29th. September. 1919, was also a wet month, a total of 4.080 in being recorded for 17 days. Tho heaviest falls wore: — I.OSOin on the 21st, .SCO on the 22nd. and .650 on tho 30th. Altlicugh rain felL on 14 da vs in September, 1918. the fall totalled 2.280 in, which is comparatively light for a monthly period, the heaviest fall being on the 7th. when .460 in wore recorded.
