Two hundred Unionist members memorialised Mr Lloyd George demanding facilities for the passage in the autumn of Lieutenant Moysey Thompson’s Bill.—A. and N.Z. Cable. LONDON, August 4. In the House of Commons, in moving the adjournment of the debate, Mr R. J. Davies (Labour) criticised the Labour Ministry regarding' tlfe conditions laid down for the future establishment of trade boards. He urged that these had resulted in rescuing 3,000,000 workers (mainly women and girls) from sweating conditions; but to-day girls were employed in certain London cafee at 10s weekly. The Labour Ministry should lay down a minimum wage. Dr Macnamara (Minister of Labour) said that Cabinet was considering a Bill regarding trade boards.—A. and N.Z. Cable. THE HONOURS COMMISSION.
