OFFICIAL RETURNS. In connection with the recount of the votes cast in tho recent contest for the Dunedin North seat, the official figures are as follow: W. Begg 931 ' d. J. Clark 3342 J. W. Munro 5462 Informal votes 19 Majority for Mr Munro 120 The number of valid votes recorded was 7735, and the actual number of votes cast 7754. Tho result of the recount is that Mr Monro’s majority was reduced b- 21, and this is due to declaratory votes, absentees’ votes, and the votes of seamen. There were 145 declaratory votes and 58 absentee votes.
