KIRKWOOD AT HOME. IN FINE ' FORM. Pxaw A** ociatum —By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, May 15. Kirkwood, the Australian golfer, is getting into form at Lossiemouth for the M'Vitie Price tournament. In practice he did his first round in 70 and nis second round in 77, total 147. F. Ball was next with 151. Kirkwood, in the first round of. the Lossiemouth tournament, did 31 out and 38 home—total 69, thus breaking this link’s record. Other competitors included George Duncan,, Edward Ray, Abe Mitchell, Havers, and Boomer. Before the tournament opened Dupcan and Ray were first favourites, Kirkwood being third fancy.—A. and N.Z. (Received May 16, at 5.5 p.m.) A cablegram received at Glasgow’ states that Hutchison is not coming to defend his title as open golf champion because funds are not being raised in the United States to finance professionals.
