(Received May 8, at 9.16 p.m.) ■ Premier Liang Shih-yj has taken refuge in the Foreign concession at Tientsin. He has threatened to sail 1 abroad if the efforts to arrest him are persisted in. Other dismissed Ministers are also taking refuge in Tientsin. v Reports state that General Wu Pei-fu has declared if General Chang’s forces retreated beyond the Great Wall he would not continue his pursuit. He added that he does not intend to fight Dr ,Sun Yatsen’s forces unless the latter advanced further north.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
