THE SHARE MARKET

DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. A marked upward tendency is apparent in the prices of stocks on the Dunedin Stock Exchange. This is not confined to any particular stock, but is, perhaps, most apparent in the banking and insurance shares and 1 in Government stocks. There was a fairly heavy turnover yesterday. Bank of New Zealand, after a eale at 61s, were wanted at that price, but no seller declared. A eale in Mosgiel Wollen at £6 4s apparently supplied the market. After a safe in Npw Zealand Drugs at 51s 6d they were not mentioned. The placing of two parcels of Otago Daily Times in the room at 45s 6d, and a reported sale at the same price, apparently cleared the market for the time, as more were wanted at 45s 6d, and no seller declared. A sale in New Zealand Insurance- was reported at 28s 3d, and subsequently a buyer offered 2Ss 4d on a market bare of sellers.
