The secretary of the Nokomai Hydraulic Sluicing Company reports that the overhauling of No. 2 race has been completed, and that sluicing was resumed on Monday. Tho full width of fhe reef is 30ft, and fho average value 11s per ton. Tho next 17ft in the Trout crosscut is country rock, and the next Bft a mixture of quartz and country, worth 7a per ton. On tho south section of tho Empire lodo tho value from 700 ft to 745 ft is 16s per ton. On tho Martha lode, cast of tho Bath crosscut, w© have crosscutteil the lode at 200 ft. Measuring from the north wall, the first 20ft is a mixture worth 4e per ton, tho next sft is quartz worth 17s i d per ton, and the next sft is a ‘slidy’ head, dipping north; the next 10ft-a mixture worth Ra 6d per ton. No. 13 level: The northwest crosscut is now in 270 ft. Prom 238 ft to this point is country rock. In. tho southeast crosscut from No. 4 shaft wo have driven cast and west tm the Royal lode.
