FOUNDER OF ENTENTE

TRIBUTE TO EDWARD VIT. LONDON, March 12. The correspondent of The Times at Biarritz states that Lord Hardinge unveiled, before a great crowd, the memorial to King Edward VII. It stands on the waterfront between the Casino and the Hotel du Palais, and consists of simple granite blocks, with a large bronze medallion of Edward VII. between bronze figures of t rance and England. The memorial was surrounded by a pergola and decorated flagpoles. Beyond ■was the springtime yellow of the mimosa. The covering was drawn off to the strains of the National Anthem and the rattle of the military ritual. Destroyers patrolled the blue waters off the plage, and their crews mustered and fired salutes. The whole ceremony was a characteristic French salute, a gracious tribute to the kindly King, the founder of the Entente, whom Prance loved so well.
