LABOUR DISPUTES
ONE ACT ADVOCATED. (PM United Pbess Association.) AUCKLAND, September 15. At a general meeting of the Provincial Employers’ Association Mr Spencer (president) said that the time had arrived when the whole of the laws dealing with the settlement of Labour disputes might will be repealed, and one Act substituted. Ha would suggest that one court only should be set up to adjudicate on all Labour disputes, to be open to all unions, whether registered under the Act or not, and to all employers. Any strike or lockout should be made absolutely illegal, and punishable by fine or imprisonment, according to culpability.
