LOCAL BODY LOANS
(Pbb United Pbkss Association.) WELLINGTON, September 15. Consent has been given to the raising of the following local body loans: Hutb County Council, water supply Paekakariki £6000; Thames Harbour Board, wharf at Turua £6000; Kairanga County Council, widening and metalling £3000; Kairanga County Council, widening and - metalling £1600: Levin Borough Council, worker? dwellings £IOOO. The maximum rates of interest for local body loans is prescribed as under seven per cent. Auckland Har,bour Board, £2500 to be'borrowed beyond New Zealand for harbour works at six per cent.. Raglan County Council, £I2OO for road construction, plant and machinery. Invercargill Borough Council, £I3OO for sewerage works. Timaru Borough Council, £SOOO for electric light and power, works.
