PARIS, August 7. A Constantinople telegram states that the Kemalists have decided to evacuate Angora.—Reuter.
CONSTANTINOPLE, August 7. The Kemalists are removing from Angora the archives and Government stores preparatory' to evacuation. It seems improbable, therefore, that the Nationalists will make a last stand west of Angora, Mustapha KemaTs policy being to preserve his army as much as possible, while reckoning on the belief that the further the Greeks advance the more they will weaken themselves. The people of Angora are panig-stricken by the plans for retirement, but the authorities are said 'to be sanguine of final success. They declined a Bolshevist offer to send reinforcements at prepent, saying that they would take advantage of the offer if things went badly.—Reuter.
