DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. A decidedly healthy tone was apparent on 'Change throughout tho week, and where there was a change in the value of stocks it was generally on tho up grade. Monday opened with animation, and this feeling was generally maintained throughout. New Zealand Insurance were an exception, for opening with sales at 30s they were not quite in such good favour at the close, when there was a seller at 30s anil no declared buyer. New Zealand Paper Mills at 22s 9d, and rights had a eale and buyer at Is. Bank of New Zealand tinned, and, after sales at -17 s lid and 4S» 3d, closed with an unsupplicd buyers at 19s Gd, tho (seller asking 50s. National Insurance were quitted at 58s, after which buyers advanced, till bis Gd was offered ineffectually. Kaiapoi Woollen had limited turnover at 265, dosing not quite so strong. New Zealand Drugs changed hands at 53s (id, hut cased afterwards, and. closed with a seller at 50a, without a declared buyer. Huddart, Parker had a fair amount of attention at 41s 3d, !4s Gd, and 44s 3d, finishing with a wide market. South British Insurance, after a sale at .Ills, closed with u seller at that figure, the beat buying offer being 355. A parcel of Union Bank was quitted at £l2 ISs, and there was a buyer at the close at £l2 17s, the seller quoting wide. Talisman Consolidated, after n sale at Gs Id, wore wanted at Gs in a market hare of sellers; and Waihi had a transaction at 30s Gd, closing with a sixpenny market. There was always a good demand for Government stocks, hut the only sale recorded or reported was in 5 per cent. Post Office inscribed stock at £9l.
