y.H.C.A. CARNIVAL. A very successful carnival was" held in the Y.-M.C.A. Bath on Saturday nisrht, when there was a large attendance. Following are the results: 60 Yards Junior Handicap (under 17). Final; Hector 1, Wyllie 2; time, 47 4-ssec. 100 Yards Breast-stroke Championship. Graham 1. James % M‘Gill 3. In this race Graham, of Gore, will return with the satisfaction of having retained the cup previously held hv him, but mot before- he' had made a hard fight for it. For the last 10 yards first, second, and third seemed to he swimming abreast, and the result looked like a dead heat. However, Graham’s longer reach gave him the victory. , Neat Dive was won by James, with M Indoo second. . 40 Yards Dash Inter-chib Handicap.—First heat: M. In the swimming gala the Wellington Club won the Plying Squadron Race and the cup, and the Clyde Quay School won the Ooltmen Cup.
