EVERYBODY’S THEATRE
There was screened at Everybody’s Theatre yesterday a story in which George Behan gives a very fine impersonation of an Italian alien, from which/fact the picture is called “Tire Alien.” Pietro Massena is a poor, but proudly respectable, Italian labourer, and while purchasing a few toys for his little girl, she is run down and killed by tiie automobile of George Griswold, a banker. Griswold’s little daughter has been stolen, and he is following up a clue when the accident occurs. -Griswold’s scapegrace brother has kidnapped the girl to' compel Griswold to give money to a friend named Robbins, an embezzler. The' scapegrace brother attempts to blame Pietro, who is seized by a detective. The child has been found in the meantime, and the entrance of Griswold with her saves the situation. The story is a pathetic one, and is exceedingly well presented. The_ Italian’s last appeal when leaving the re-united family is, “Only looks out for all those leetle children when you ride in your grand automobile next time,” and he refuses all gifts except an armful of roses from a-florists shop. There is not a weak spot m the cast, Mr Boban being very, strongly-supported. Amongst other pictures included'in a strong programme are a comedy, “Too Many Tenants,” and a Co-operative Weekly.
