DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. Mount Lyell shares were in keen demand yesterday, and several hundred were sold at prices "ranging from 13a to 13s 7d. The olosing quotations .were firm at 13s 7d and 13s Bd. Mining stocks generally were firm, but buyers were not keen to come to business. Banking stocks were on offer at fair prices, but failedl to interest buyers. Insurance shares were sought at recent prices, but no business was brought about. Generally speaking tnere was a scarcity of buyers for investment lines.
