(Received March 17, at 10.20 p.m.) The Vienna correspondent of the Daily Chronicle states that Herr Stinness syndicate has purchased 200,000 out of 300,000 shares in the Alpine Mon tan Gesellschaft, Austria’s giant iron ore company, from the Italian Fiat Company. The Fiat Company purchased 250,000 shares in 1919, but was unable to supply coke for the blast furnaces, so it is now forced to re-sell to the Stinnes group. The re-starting of the Alpine furnaces on full production- is of the utmost importance to Austria. —A. and N.Z. Cable. LONDON, March 17. (Received March 17, at 10.55 p.m.) Sir lan Hamilton presided at' a meeting representing the_ units which fought on Gallipoli to consider a scheme for a mememorial on the Peninsula.
