“ONE OF THE FINEST.”

In the Goldwyn comedy-drama. “ One of the Finest ” Tom Moore, the matinee idol, has “ One of 'the Finest ” roles and “ One of the Finest ” stories in which he has ever been seen. As Handsome Larry, the pride of the Mounted Police Force, and later as a plainclothes man, Moore has every opportunity to display tho versatility and magnetism for which he is so popular. ‘‘One of the Finest ’ is a truly delightful comedydrama of romance and adventure, with sufficient dramatic intensity to hold the interest from start to finish. There are laughs, and there are thrills, and now and then you get a lump in your throat, for ” One’ of the Finest ” is intensely human. There is also a sweet child, “ Peaches" Jackson, who assumes the role of Mary Jane Andrews, the child of the thief arrested by Larry Hayes. Later Larry and his mother give the child a home and bring her up in the right way, Mary Jane’s mother coming to see her when her work permits. This is one of the many little humanities which make “ One of the Finest” the success ot the moment. “One of the Finest” will be shown at the King’s Theatre at both sessions this evening, in conjunction with a new comedy, “ Loony Lions and Monkey Business,” which is said to cause a perfect roar of laughter from title to finish. The pther supports tend to make a most entertaining programme.
