An electric tram coming down the incline of Symonda afreet, after a. series of bumps, left the line and swung at right angles, butting the kerb on the footpath and bringing up at the stone wall skirting the Jewish Cemetery. There was more or less panic among the passengers, one lady fainting, but no one was injured. The mechanical part of the car was badly damaged. The cause of the accident was the collapse of a gear wheel.
