KIWI defence club. The Kiwi Defence Rifle Club on Saturday afternoon fired the first competition for prizes presented by Sir Jos. Allen and Mr E. F. Duthie. The attendance was good, considering the bad day. The weather was showery, with a tricky fish-tail rear wind. Rifleman B. Andrew registered 34 ah 500yds, which on the day was a brilliant performance for a young shot. It was intended to have the ladies present, but the weather upset all arrangements, which will be carried out at a later date. Conditions: Seven shots and optional sighter at 600 and 600 yards: A Grade.
