Saturday night, the last of the Marie i. xi'ipest season, found every seat in liis .ije.sty’s Theatre occupied; indeed, a large •....iiber of people had to bo turned away. ..io chosen piece was "The Marriage of ...Uy,” a favourite with theatregoers, be-i.-f; of its clever construction, shrewd dia- . ,/-ae, and lively humour. Miss Tempest, ~ ’ course, was Kitty, and Mr Graham .•'...Me Sir Reginald Belsize. the English- ,, .in of fable, complete with moustache and i, iiioclo to order, but a likeable gentleman i.c. ortholess. Both played their parts with mushed artistry, and their season here will bo remembered with pleasure. Ap(.liuso was bestowed frequently, and Miss . cinpnst was not allowed to take leave of lie audience at the fail of the curia n. Standing with their beautiful floral i-juntos in her hands, she thanked her audi- * Cine for their enthusiasm, and said it had i. con a jov to play to them. Miss Tempest and Mr Browne, with their (■•pable supporters, presented “Cousin Jvuto” at a matinee performance in the afternoon.
