PRINCESS THEATRE
TONIGHTS NEW BILL
The feature of the performance at the Princess Theatre on Saturday night was the enthusiastic sendoff given to the “Singing Parson” by the huge audience assembled. Few variety have even approached his popularity with the vaudeville patrons in Dunedin, and even after he had done many encore numbers they would not •let him retire without a few words of farewell. No visiting artist has had more eloquent testimony of warm admiration and affection. The new revue by the Walter George Sunshine PlayerSj which will be presented this evening, is “A Dutch Legacy.” Although the popular Sunshine Company has paid four visits to Dunedin, the Dutch comedy has been played only once before, and it is such a clever piece, with so much abounding melody and so many quaint effects, that everyone will welcome the revival ’ The incoming act on the vaudeville side will be the Sinclair Bros., clever balancers, and new offerings also will be given by Desperado and La Rose, Hart and Clegg, James Scholfield. and Wallingford Tate.
